I will simply say this is the best show ever on TV. I have watched all the HBO shows for at least one season and they all pale in compairison. From the 1st to last episode the Wire delivers. Great DVD website! Fast delivery.

Hands down best show to ever come across TV. No other show puts together such organized complexity in its foundation and does it as well as The Wire. With all the perspectives that viewers are exposed to, the process of watching the show goes beyond just the characters but how everything all eventually comes together...but most importantly everything in between. Every episode/ every season is unique and adds another piece to the puzzle that is the city of Baltimore. But do all the pieces fit? or does the puzzle just get bigger and bigger?

I put off watching The Wire when it was first on HBO because I felt like the media was forcing it on me as "the best show on TV". So, years later I finally checked out the show on DVD and while it may not be the best show on TV...it's certainly the most realistic police drama I've ever come across.
