The Pacific did a great job of depicting what it must of been like for American soldiers in the Pacific during World War 2. Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, who also joined in Saving Private Ryan and Band of Brothers are at their best in providing a living representation of intense battles throughout the Pacific region. Channel Gaudal on Iwo Jima, to follow the characters and develop a bond. The battles, very historically accurate, are stunning in their intensity. You can almost feel what it was for these young people to take an enemy that is the credo was "Never Surrender".If you are a fan of war films, or films for that matter, you'll love the Pacific.
