Inspired by the series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, CSI: Miami follows a team of forensic investigators in South Florida / police officers who use both cutting-edge scientific methods and the work of the police to solve old crimes. Horatio Caine leads the investigators of the crimes, while working near the tropical heat and cultural crossroads of Miami. Horatio, his second in command Calleigh Duquesne, and his team probes cases similar to their counterparts in Las Vegas, but the team of CSI Miami are also police and forensic investigators.
